Do dog know their names? It’s a question that has puzzled humans for centuries, and yet it seems like our canine companions are able to communicate with us in some way.<\/p>\n

A study published in the journal Animal Cognition appears to provide some insight into how dogs remember and use their names.<\/p>\n

The study found that dogs selectively listened to specific names more than others. When a dog heard its name, it showed signs of happiness and pleasure.<\/p>\n

However, recent studies have shown that dogs are able to remember and use complex names for themselves.<\/p>\n

Researchers had a group of dogs<\/a> learn seven different names and then tested them to see how long it took them to recall the names.<\/p>\n
